CHINA - KUNMING
In Kunming a lot of concrete has been used, but there are also lots of nice avenues. In 1988 there was a 'cooking school' for young Chinese in Kunming where travelers could also call in: the food was excellent and the atmosphere exceptional. Otherwise Kunming is primarily a starting point for trips into the surrounding area. | Tip: The 'stone forest' about 100 km away called Shilin is well worth a day trip. |
