The Highlands naturally belong to the beloved Highland Games and in the south are separated from the Lowlands by a tectonic line called the 'Highland boundary fault'. This fault goes diagonally across Scotland from the Firth of Clyde in the south west to Stonehaven in the north east. | The Highlands are split in two by the almost 100km long Great Glen Fault.
