FALKLANDS - PEBBLE ISLAND

With about 30 km length, Pebble Island is one of the bigger Falkland Islands. Owing to the decreasing demand for lambs wool on the world market, the only settlement was given up by and by, and actually only four inhabitants are living here. Three of them, Jacky, Lucy and Allan, take the guest with their Landrover to the interesting places of the Island.

They also run the lodging on the Pebble island offering nice rooms for about 20 guests.

Having managed to reach the island you will be rewarded richly. Rock hoppers and gentoos as well as buzzards, turkey vultures (called TVs by the inhabitants) and caracaras can be observed absolutely undisturbed. In addition there is a wide range of wild life at the coasts and at the interior lakes.
