Sea Lions Island is the most southern island of all Falkland Islands, only 7,5 km long and 2 km wide. From the lodge it takes just a five minutes walk until you will be amongst sea elephants and sea lions, who have to be very careful not to be eaten by Orcas hunting close to the coast.
| King penguins and Gentoos but also Macaroni and Magellan penguins can be observed very close. The meals at the lodge are delicious. Maybe the Scottish lodge manager Rob McKay will take up the idea to organize Highland Games on the Falklands; for "tossing the caber", however, probably the trunks will have to be imported, as there are almost no trees on the Falkland Islands :-) |
