INDONESIA - JAVA

With around 700 inhabitants per kilometer Java is the most densely populated island in Indonesia. Village is next to village and the road system is well developed. Even here you can travel according to your individual wishes: shopping in the large town of Jakarta, climb a volcano (e.g. Bromo) or have a beach holiday. On a tour of the harbor in Jakarta you can probably see a boat built by the Bugi -boat-builders on Sulawesi.

Maybe many pirate stories will come to life again in which the dangerous Indonesian waters around the 'Ponto dos Celebres' (Point of the notorious), the later Celebes and today's Sulawesi play a large role!
 
Tip: If you don't make it to Komodo to see the enormous Komodo dragons, you can see them in a safe way in the zoo in Jakarta.
