URUGUAY
Montevideo or Colonia - both towns are located only a couple of sailing hours from Buenos Aireas. As in Cuba the town's images are made up by old cars. In Colonia del Sacramento you can enjoy the small tidy fishing town. | For a long time there was conflict between the two towns due to Portugal and Spain. While Colonia was settled in 1680 by Portugal, Spain founded Montevideo in 1726. In 1811 Uruguay declared its independence from Spain. |
