USA - BOSTON

Boston has become even more popular than ever since the lawyer television series 'Ally McBeal'. The city appears easy going and you can explore it on the so called 'Freedom Trail' which goes past all historical buildings in the city. From Hancock Tower, a skyscraper with a great view over the whole city, you can see part of the trail with a bird's eye view. Plymouth where the Pilgrim Fathers landed in the 'Mayflower' in 1620 is in the south of Boston.

You can visit the Mayflower II a reconstruction of the legendary boat which sailed in 1957 from England to Plymouth. You can also visit the 'Plymouth Rock' which supposedly marks the spot where the Pilgrim Fathers came on land.
 
Tip: When we visited, lay actors in a 'reconstructed Pilgrim village' acted out the life of the settlers - interactively with the tourists. If this still exists it is definitely worth a visit.
